Thanks for the posts Steve, I've got a much better understanding of how recording from Skype works now. But I think I've stumbled across another problem with my set-up.

When I set my sound device to record from the line in, I can achieve no sound from my microphones. My recording input is usually set to microphone and other than a slight buzz that constantly hums through my recording, I have no trouble.

I don't understand this though, as my microphones are routed through my mixer which is connected to my line input on the computer. I cannot begin recording this way through Skype until I've determined why I cannot record at present from my line input. If anyone out there has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
