are using firewire or usb i don't think the 828 mkII comes with usb
the firewire card works best if it uses texas instrament drivers
per: motu anyway do you have the audio hardware setup right goto edit-audio hardware setup and set up audio drivers to motu firewire audio and default input to 1&2 etc. goto the help menu fo the rest
