Thanks very much for your message, really appreciate it. When you say you need to check the audition hardware setup for both edit and multitrack view, do you mean check the ins and outs and where they are being sent to? Im not by my computer right now, but Im pretty sure that I checked everything to make sure the IN was mic/guitar in 1-2 (SE2200 via xlr into front panel of motu) and that the OUT was to my headphones, which are connected to the headphones socket on the front panel of the motu (therefore MOTU phones), yet despite all this, it still doesnt show any reading on the levels along the bottom of Audition!

When you say you can setup 4 separate mixes, is that using the BUS 1 / BUS 2 / BUS 3 / BUS 4 along the bottom of the cue mix? What exactly is a BUS? If i setup a different setting on each of those buses, how do I get the motu to switch between them and recognise what it should do each time (ie which output to go to)?

What do you mean by setting the send .wav to mix in the cuemix setup menu what is the purpose of this?

Huge apologies for all the questions, but your answer seems to make sense to a degree, so I think youre the best person to ask!
