Earlier in the thread, someone made a statement that you can't make a CD with anything other than a 44.1k, 16 bit, stereo file. This touches directly on the reason that I came to the board today seeking input from you good folks. I am working on a project with another home-studio owner. I wanted to send him files on a CD the same way that I work with them in multi-track view, which is mono, 32 bit wav. When I tried to burn them onto a CD using AA, of course it converted them to 16 bit and split them into stereo. I could not find a way to override the process, so I simply let the Windows CD program do it for me... I just highlighted the individual wavs and right-clicked on them, and sent them to my F (CD) drive. A few minutes later, there they were in all their 32 bit MONO glory. Now I must admit that I am not the most learned person on these boards by any stretch... but I must say that I disagree with the earlier statement that you can't make a CD with anything other than a 44.1k, 16 bit, stereo file. I think perhaps the poster meant to say that you can't make a music CD, etc? I burned my wavs as data... and they were burned onto the CD and retrieved/played back beautifully, as 32 bit mono files. Only thing is I would have liked to be able to do that through AA. Is this making sense? Thanks NH (sundance)
