Remember guys, I'm fitness, not sound engineer. I think your point would be better stated that there is no substitute for a professional. Agreed. If someone downloads a workout from the net for free is this as good as a 1 on 1 with me? Uh, no. Not even close. Is "normalizing" or "hard limiting" the same as having you do a professional engineering? Uh, no, not even close probably.

But, and you knew there had to be a but or why bother with this, Live Audition wasn't created solely for master engineers and I suspect a high percentage of projects don't require the expensive engineering fees to perfect the sound. So a recording is off by a smidge from song to song. Who cares usually? No one. If it's for sale and really really matters? Sure if there is enough being sold.

So the voice of reason is more reasonable if one takes into account the thousands of self-serve Audition users who are served quite well by normalizing and hard limiting for their little, inconsequential pet projects that Audition is probably overkill for.

Nothing beats a professional - but then again most cannot afford me 1 on 1 so maybe an exercise video will do most times.
