The suggestion to keep the speaker/singer 8-9 inches away from the mike doesn't work for us egotistical 'deep throat' types, who want all the balls we can generate. That's why we have the microphone darn near glued to our lower lip during the read. But I always position the mike for non-professionals just next to their mouth, and tell them to talk to the script, not the mike. This eliminates most popping. I'm the one wearing headphones, so I can tell if the sound is not quite what I want--in which case I reposition the mike. I posted the FFT Filter settings I use to eliminate pops, but I can't find it right now. Bob K
