Hello everyone,

I recently reinstalled Windows and have had two strange issues with Adobe Audition 1.5.

First, when I try to open a file using "open with Audition", it simply opens Audition but does not open the file. Instead, I have to open the file manually once inside Audition. I believe I've had this problem once in the past on a previous Windows installation, but more often than not this function has always worked properly. This can really be a great time saver, so it's too bad it's not working.

Secondly, no matter what I do, Audition will not recognize any of the DirectX plugins from other programs on my computer, such as those from Sound Forge. I have enabled this functionality and have refreshed the list many times, but no matter what I do it simply will not recognize these!

I also had this problem in my previous Windows installation, but when I copied over my previous AUDITION.INI file (which holds the saved effects presets), it re-enabled most of DirectX effects. However, no such luck this time.

Please note that I've been using this program for almost 4 years on the same machine and operating system, usually without any issues. I've gone through all the options of the program, but I see nothing pointing to a solution.

I am using Windows XP Professional. Thanks in advance for any tips.
