I have a user who recently got a new iMac and has migrated her current setup from an older iMac running Tiger to the new iMac running Leopard. She is currently using CS3 but needs to install CS4. We have volume licensing so despite being an upgrade the install media should be the full thing. When it gets to "Preparing to install" it never proceeds. The installer is not crashed since you can quit out and get a "hey are you sure you want to do this" window. So far the steps I have taken are: Repair Disk Permissions Run all cron Maintenance Scripts Update Prebindings Clean User Caches Remove Corrupt Preference Files Copy Install Media to HD and attempt install from the HD. Restart several times Activity Monitor reports the installer taking approximately 80MB and 0.4CPU so its not really thinking very hard about anything. Disk IO is also very low. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
