jan,

My daughter is an architecture major. I want to buy Creative Suite for
her macbook, but don't know which one to buy.

As Buko says, no Creative Suite "Extended" -- but you will find "Premium" versions. Check the Adobe store to see what is included in each. While I can see a use for the basic Adobe apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), I can't see them as being the entire list of software that would be required in the course of study.

Each school has a required list of books, software and other supplies for each curriculum. Request the list -- either the bookstore or the Architecture Dept or School has it. And the school store generally has the lowest prices available for the software.

But, make sure that the minimum specs for the software are matched or (preferably) exceeded by your daughter's computer.
