Upgrading from standard suite to premium - is there more than one version?

I just purchased the CS2 upgrade, full Premium version. I have the full Standard version CS1.1. I thought this upgrade would work for either of the suites, but the box says you must be a licensed user of Premium Suite. I called customer support about it, but the guy was no help at all. He said he would need the serial number to check on it, or I could purchase a new upgrade for $549. I'm afraid to open it to get the serial number if it's the wrong upgrade.

Okay, I got this on Ebay, but it is new and still factory sealed. The product number on the box (18040306) is the same as what is shown at places like Buy.Com, for an upgrade that is supposed to work with either Standard or Premium. Could they have it wrong on the box? Could they have different versions of this upgrade out there with the same product number? They only show the one version at the Adobe store (other than the PhotoShop upgrade).
