It seems to me that whenever I use Creative Suite programs, I lose a significant amount of space on my Hard Drive. I'll try to explain with an example: Today I was tweaking about 50 dng images in camera raw, and before I began I had 55.6gb of free space on my hard drive. After I was done, I checked the hard drive again and now it displayed that 54.5gb where available. Then I restarted my computer and the hard drive reading updated to display that i had 55.49 gb of free space. Now when working in ACR I thought that I was just making changes to metadata which should just add kb to the files, and bridge replaces its old previews with updated ones so that shouldn't result in significantly bigger files either. However; in one small session in ACR I lost over 100mb in space. Where is all my hardrive space going? I'm assuming that the disparity between the values before and after restarting is due to temporary files or something, but I can not understand the difference from before working in ACR and after. Are some temporary files not being deleted or where is all my space going? I installed CS2 about a week and a half ago, and initially passed the loss of space of as inaccuracy of the remaining space estimate, but in that past week and a half I have lost about 5gb of space, when realistically I should have only lost 3 at most. This is also happening in other CS2 applications. CAn anyone offer an explanation or a remedy for my shrinking harddrive problem? Thanks.
