Some of you maybe aware of the new Macbook Pro 17" and it allow upgrade to max memory of 8GB. I am looking into this and perhaps give up my G5 Dual 2GHz with Tiger (10.4.11) and upgrade from CS2 to CS4 on a new laptop.Beside this I have 2 external 500GB drives. I will still use my 19" monitor as the screen on the laptop is not big enough. Finally is CS4 stable under Leopard or better under Tiger? I would like suggestions and comment before I make up my purchase decision.

You can't install Tiger on that machine so it's a moot point. Since the 10.5.6 update, things have been pretty stable. Bob

Bob, Thanks, I am aware that you cannot install Tiger on latest laptop but I do have it on my G5.

CS4 seems stable on my new SS MacBook, however, the upgrade install was a bear.
