Hi Theresa,
mmh, sorry, I just saw now that you posted this on the WINDOWS section, In that case my advice does not make much sense. On WIN this acts else.

Are you on MAC?
Can you send us the log from the server that is not recognizing the backups?
it is located:
WIN = program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version CUe CS3\server\logs
MAC = Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe version Cue CS3/Server/logs

That would help to see what happens on your machine.
