Adove Drive cannot connect server

Recently, I installed Adobe Drive and Version Cue.

Before I installed the Adobe Drive CS4 1.0.1 updates, the Adobe Drive window looked like this:

The window did not show any words and I could not use it.

After I installed the updates, the windows now can display words. However, it shows empty dialogue box:

No matter what login information I typed, the dialogue box still empty and I don't know what happened.

Anybody encountered this situation before? And how can I solve the problem?

Hi Eric,
seems a little bit like you have a corrupted installation.

Please try the steps I describe in the help section (in comments!):
 <http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Bridge/3.0/WSE7F6DBB0-84D0-4cb6-8D02-0D97CD9C91AE.html>

If this does not help, please come back and I will try harder to help you out of this ;-)

I tried to installed Adobe Drive in the computer that have installed Version Cue, it works.

However, the computer that did not installed the Version Cue still cannot use Adobe Drive to connect it. (I've reinstall the Adobe Drive and the updates)
The problem is just the same as before. When I press the "Empty cache" button, a empty dialogue box with a "OK" button appear (same as Connect button) and the "Save" button in Options seems has no effect at all.

What should I do next?

Thanks.

Hi Eric,

The second computer should be able to "see" the server. Your firewalls (PC and router) need to allow the appropriate ports to communicate (I don't know them offhand, I think maybe 5100, 5101? but you should look it up).

However, BEWARE of the problems with the Adobe Drive CS4 before choosing it for your workflow (read the myriad of complaints in this forum). I think most people wish they had stayed with Version Cue CS3.

The ports are:
3703/ 3704 for SSL, if these ports are already used by another application or service, Version Cue will use port 51000 / 51001 for SSL.
If even those are blocked, ports higher than 51001 will be scanned and used.
The used port can be seen on the VersionCue server administration page.

Adobe recommends that the user enters the "ExternalURL" in the Advanced tab > Preferences of the administration page. And make sure you use the real IP of the host machine.
This should help to connect the server from Vista machines (and others)
