GIF Thumbnails not showing on VC4 server!

To establish some understanding first:

- I'm running CS4 Design Premium Suite on Vista and connecting to a Version Cue server. This is a fresh install of both the OS and CS4.
- The Version Cue Server is operating on Windows Server 2003. This is also a fresh install.
- I've run all the updates on my machine and on my Version Cue server.
- I have Version Cue startup scripts enabled in my Bridge preferences.
- I have purged my cache several times and even tried the trick of deleting the Data folder in my local cache folder for Bridge.

Despite all this, when I import folder-based projects (from a remote server) to the Version Cue server (also a remote server), thumbnails do not generate for GIF files in Bridge. This is true for both animated and non-animated GIFs. I have tried Kevin's suggestion about checking in/out, but with no success. I have tried recreating the GIFs post-import, but with no success. This is true regardless of the view I use: list, details, thumbnails. The preview window shows no thumbnail either.

GIF thumbnails continue to work on Bridge outside of the Version Cue server. It's only when I import to the newly established Version Cue server that the GIF thumbnails fail to generate. All other file formats that normally have thumbnails (PSD, JPG, EPS, AI, etc) are fine and still have their thumbnails generating.

Please help! Thank you.

Well, it seems I've managed to solve this problem myself. In case anyone else ever comes across this problem, here's the solution.

The problem I had was that I had imported my projects prior to using the Version Cue 4.0.1 update. While that update does fix many problems, you have to re-import your projects for it to be fixed. My GIFs are generating thumbnails now that I'm importing projects post-update.

Now, if there were just a mass/batch folder import function: 250 projects is a lot to import all by yourself.
