Hello,

Oliver Ruhm posted this in another thread (http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b790cf), but I thought it important enough to post in it's own thread.

He suggested that users can still use Bridge CS3 to access a Version Cue CS4 server, and it seems to work for me too, with a few caveats. Simply run your Bridge CS3 instead of either Bridge CS4 or Adobe Drive, and tell Bridge CS3 to connect to your Version Cue CS4 server (the URL should end in :5100 if it doesn't automatically show up). Then it should behave just like Bridge CS3 did with synchronizing and local (real) copies of the files to work from in a local repository.

You will lose a bit of functionality though compared to Bridge CS3/Version Cue CS3:

Since Creative Suite 4 applications are programmed to work only with the evil Adobe Drive, they will not automatically check-out (lock) the file that a user is editing. The user must remember to manually check-out manually using the Bridge CS3 interface. If not, another user may begin working on the same file without knowing that he/she is working from an older version. Bridge CS3 does seem to at least indicate that there is a "conflict" once there are local changes *and* the server has a newer version (but graphic files typically cannot be merged, so there will be lost work-time).

However, everything else seems to be intact: browsing the server files as thumbnails, synchronizing, working from a local (faster) repository, etc.
