Questions about AGS

I'm trying to figure out whether Adobe Graphics Server is something that my company needs. We handle about 80 jobs per day and need a way to automate our most repetitive tasks. I also like the thought of it being able to generate designs off of a template since we have several clients that use the same basic designs for each job, but only need a few words changed.

My questions are:

1. Does this support Photoshop files that use features past version 7.0, such as smart objects? If not, are there any plans to update this software?

2. Can we use metadata for variables in how we treat artwork? In other words, if there was a number put in a specific place in the metadata, would we be able to use that number to populate the image size field when reducing the size of the image?

3. Is there a way to get a trial copy of this? It looks like there was at one time, but I don't see the link anymore.

Thanks,
-Paul
