Hello, Sample application is written to merge two or more pdf files using Adobe Document Server. The sample application is using Webservice and laucnhed from Winodows and the AdobeDocument Server is in Unix. I am getting following error: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: DON'T USE read()!!! at com.adobe.altercast.sdk.utils.FixedLengthInputStream.read(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.impl.XMLEntityManager$RewindableInputStream.read(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.impl.XMLEntityManager.startEntity(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.impl.XMLEntityManager.startDocumentEntity(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl.setInputSource(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.parsers.DTDConfiguration.parse(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.parsers.DTDConfiguration.parse(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.parsers.XMLParser.parse(Unknown Source) at org.apache.xerces.parsers.AbstractSAXParser.parse(Unknown Source) at com.adobe.altercast.sdk.impl.webservice.parsers.SOAPParserBase.parse(Unknown Source) at com.adobe.altercast.sdk.impl.webservice.envelopes.ResponseEnvelope.parse(Unknown Source) at com.adobe.altercast.sdk.impl.webservice.methods.WebMethod.invokeRemotely(Unknown Source) at com.adobe.altercast.sdk.impl.webservice.ServerWebService.invokeWebMethod(Unknown Source) at com.adobe.altercast.sdk.impl.webservice.ServerWebService.execute(Unknown Source) at PDFMerge.merge(PDFMerge.java:364) The same application works when I launch from Unix, so I was guessing its the Pdf file paths in windows. I found the following link for UNC path issue for Adobe Document Server: <http://support.adobe.com/devsup/devsup.nsf/docs/53397.htm> The latest commands.xml file: The xml file for PDF Merge: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><commands> <loadContent source="file:///c:/pdf/test1.pdf" out="f1"/> <loadContent source="file:///c:/pdf/test2.pdf" out="f2"/> <assemblePDF> <document source="f1"/> <document source="f2"/> </assemblePDF> <saveContent name="file:///c:/pdf/test_merge_ts.pdf"/> </commands> Still I am having the same error mentioned above. I am using following piece of code to launch webservice: <http://UnixServerName:8019/altercast/AlterCast> Thanks in advance for any suggestion to resolve my issue. Sridhar
