The R2 release of the AGS samples was a minor update: - modifications to the .NET sample - a new XML Schema for the command set - corrections to the DTD for the command set. This would be a side benefit of ASN membership not a compelling reason to join. For ADS 5.0 users, the R2 release is somewhat more substantial: - modifications to the .NET sample - a new XML Schema for the command set - corrections to the DTD for the command set - workflows for PDF manipulation and XSL-FO - modifications to the command samples for PDF manipulation and XSL-FO - updates to the FrameMaker templates for XSL-FO. If you have ADS 6, it shipped with the R2 samples.
