I am processing a psd file which has hidden layers.
When I create a XML file for psd filw which has hidden layers, the xml shows all the information for every layer, thats cool. but how can i know of those layers which were the hidden layers.

The imageInfo or exportMetadata commands are the two ways to get some info about the structure and formatting of a Raster file. Neither reports on the visibility of a layer.

Out of curiousity, what would you do with the visibility info?

Hi Bob,

See if someone has a psd with hidden layers we need to process it and get all the layer information in a easy to use interface where the users can set the font size and change text.

I need the visibility information to show to the user that this particular layer is actually a hidden layer and if he wants he can set it to visible.

Its actually a part of our very sucessful application which uses AGS.

I am workig on it, if you find anythin in the meantime then please let us know.

Temporarily I have done a unelegant solution, I am showing the preview of the psd file to the users.
Below it I am showing information for all the layers, as AGS reads all the layers of the psd regardless the layer is hidden or not.

Then I am giving him a option to show that hidden layer and if he does then I am setting the visibility to be true for that layer and it works fine.

If anyone finds a elegant way, please let me know.
I would like to put this in the WISH-LIST for AGS.
Can we please know which are the hidden layers when processing a psd.
