I understand from the knowledge base that AppleScript's SOAP does not work with Graphics Server. Does anyone have any examples or pointers on how to access GS from AppleScript or C++? Thanks, -doug

I don't have any pointers but here is an example of what AGS is looking for in a SOAP request. There are 3 issues that typically cause problems.
- the altercast namespace should only be on the request tag
- the AGS XML commands need to be escaped
- there are two "commands" tags. One for SOAP, and one for AGS
< ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
< soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:tns="http://ns.adobe.com/altercast/1.5/" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
< soap:Body>
< tns:request>
< commands>
<commands>
<version />
</commands>
< /commands>
< /tns:request>
< /soap:Body>
< /soap:Envelope>

The forum software messed up my post by unescaping the AGS commands. I've added spaces below.
& lt;commands& gt;
& lt;version /& gt;
& lt;/commands& gt;
