We have a 2-processor machine that we would like to use for running Adobe Graphics Server and a Web server. Is there any way to run the Graphics Server on only one processor and thereby use 1 license of Adobe Graphics Server on the 2-processor machine? Thanks, Bipin Raj

Bipin, I already answered your question via private email, but here it is again since you posted the same question on the forums. Maybe others will be interested in the answer? I discussed this with product management and engineering and there isn't a 1 CPU limited license for a two processor machine. For the 2 CPU limited version, you get a special license (not the standard one) that limits you to 2 CPUs out of the number on the machine. This is done by limiting you to three concurrent processes

Is there any way to limit the usage of the CPU by Adobe Graphics Server to a maximum of 80% so that a web server running on the same machine will function properly and not freeze up. Thanks, Bipin Raj

There's nothing in AGS to do this. Maybe it can be done in Windows. Possibly by: - setting a "Start Parameter" for the AlterCastImageEdition service - changing the process priority of the Web Server. Windows Task Manager > Processes panel > right click on the process and change the priority. I found the above in a quick web search but I couldn't find much info on either one and I've never worked with them. Take these suggestions as no more than possible starting points.
