How to generate a PDF file with transparency

Iļæ½ am using SVG to generate a PDF file (convertSVGToPDF command). Inside the SVG document I am including several images, each of them with transparent background and overlapping each other. The images are trim but have some transparent pixels around them. They look OK on the SVG document, but when I generate the PDF, so are all the transparent pixels blended with white. Is it possible to use some distiller option or other command to get a PDF, which take care of the transparency of the images inside the SVG file? Is that a way to get a PDF with transparency at all?

Transparency is generally supported. Was the SVG made with Illustrator? What version? (AGS doesn't fully support Illustrator CS.)

- In any case try opening the SVG in Illustrator 10, and see if the images are transparent there.
- Save the SVG as a PDF from Illustrator 10 and then see if the images are transparent in Acrobat.

If the transparency works from Illustrator 10, it should work from AGS.
