I am developing an application to convert EPS to GIF using .Net/C#. I am using the service of AlterCast.

I am using the following commands for convertion

//******************************
Request request = new Request();

StringBuilder adobeCommands= new StringBuilder();

adobeCommands.Append("<commands>");
adobeCommands.Append("<loadContent source='2001-australia04.eps' >" );
adobeCommands.Append("<saveOptimized name = '2001-australia04.gif'>");
adobeCommands.Append("</commands>");

request.commands = adobeCommands.ToString();

request.files = new RequestFile[1];
request.files[0] = new RequestFile();
request.files[0].name = "source_file";
request.variables = new RequestVariable[0];

try
{
 Service service = new Service(ServiceLocation);
 Response response = service.Execute(request);
 ResultFile resultfile = response.files[0];
 byte[] data = resultfile.data;

String outpath = "c:\\temp\\test.gif";
 System.IO.FileStream outstream = System.IO.File.OpenWrite(outpath);

}

catch( Exception ex)
 {
	throw(ex);
}
//******************************

Now it throws exception on service.Execute(request).

Please let me know if there is any problem with this code.

Thanks

You will need to "convertPSToRaster" before you can save it as gif.

If it is a CMYK eps file then you'll need to also convert it to sRGB using convertProfile, too.
