Problem/Task: Language dependent drawings are created. The drawings include layers with the drawing, language entries and the units. The drawings will be created with the Adobe Illustrator as SVG or alternatively as vectorial EPS format. From this multilanguage files we want to separat drawings for each language in the vectorial EPS or JPG format. For this task we want to use the Adobe GraphicsServer. The convertion process should remove or mask layers which are not needed for the current language. Questions: SVG: 1. Are there any ways to convert SVG-Files to vectorial EPS with the Adobe GraphicsServer? According to the manual this is not possible. Alternatively: 2. Is it possible to embed a self made application in the Adobe GraphicsServer? Do any other tools exist which can do the job mentioned above and which can be embedded in the GraphicsServer? Adobe-Files If this is not possible, we want to mask or remove single layers of the Illustrator EPS-files during the GraphicsServer-Process. Then we want to save the file (as vectorial-EPS) with a new name. Due to our tests this is possible only with Photoshop PSD-Files. 3. Is it possible to mask or remove layers of Adobe Illustrator EPS Files with the Adobe GraphicsServer? Alternatively: 4. Are there other ways to mask or remove layers automatically?

1. No 2. No, you can't add "plugins" to AGS 3. No, the layer commands in AGS are for PSD files 4. I'd suggest talking to an Adobe Sales engineer to see if there's another solution that would work for you: <http://www.adobe.com/enterprise/contactus.html>
