Does anyone know how to modify the color used in a drop shadow using the AGS? Or is this even possible. I want users to be able to specify the color of the drop shadow that he or she wants to use.

I can think of two ways.

1. Offer a limited set of colors and make a template with multiple text layers with the drop shadow style and then only show the one they chose and put their text into it.

2. The XML Reference lists the options under Accessing Raster Content. A color overlay is the only item that looks useful for this. Make a template with two layers with placeholder text in each. Move the back-most layer down and to the right and then apply an overlay to it. You can then use the set command at run-time to change the overlay color.

Should the color overlay information show up in the image info? I performed an image info command on the stoplight.psd file that came with the AGS and the color overlay information is not showing up.

imageInfo lists only a subset of the potential info about a file. colorOverlay doesn't appear in imageInfo or in exportMetadata. You can set colorOverlay attributes but you can't read them.
