How using unique variable name for replacing multi values in SVG file

Hi, I'm looking for a way to add data in a svg template following a sequence. I've set one variable in Illustrator 10 (winning_number) and link about 30 text objects to it. The data block in the AGS command looks like this: <data> <winning_number>10</winning_number> <winning_number>12</winning_number> <winning_number>13</winning_number> <winning_number>5</winning_number> <winning_number>14</winning_number> . . . </data> The problem is that the final value of each text object is 10 12 13 5 14... I thought at first that the number 10 would be assigned to the first occurrence of the variable winning_number, number 12 to the second one and so on... (and that is exactly what I need to do!). Is there a way to tell AGS 2.0 to use a sequence (first value to first variable occurrence, second one to second variable occurrence,...)and not assigning each individual value to all variables with the same name? Or maybe there is another way to do this? I want to avoid defining different variable name for each number because sometimes there's a lot more number than 30 numbers to insert in the svg file.. Thanks for any input.. Dan

You'll have to give variables unqiue names. Given your need for a wide ranging number of text elements, why not just build the final SVG from scratch on the fly in your own code. That's one of the benefits of SVG--it's a plain text XML format that's straightforward to programmatically generate.

Thanks for your input Dale, I Think that is the only way to do it if I have to use unique name for each variable. I will use AGS for format conversion (I need to get EPS and PDF from SVG...). Thanks again..
