Visibility variable and convertSVGToPDF problem

Hi,

A text object set to invisible is not invisible anymore when SVG file is converted to PDF:

In Illustrator 10 I've created a visibility variable link to a Text object. This text object contain only information about the file and should not appear in the image. I've set the layer to invisible so the text does not show up but when the file is converted to PDF, the text does appear in the image.

I'm using AGS to convert the SVG file to PDF using command <convertSVGToPDF userUnit="1/72in" resolution="600dpi"/>.

I've tried to manually set the display attribute to "none" for the switch element related to the visibility variable in the SVG file... It does not work. I've also tried to set the text invisible with AGS using this command:

<commands resultOverwrite="true">
  <loadContentout='data'>
    <data>
      false
    </data>
  </loadContent>
  <loadContent source="replacementTarget.svg" />
  <convertSVGToPDF userUnit="1/72in" resolution="600dpi"/>
  <saveContent name="replacementTarget" appendExtension="true"/>
</commands>

It does not work too... Does somebody have and idea of what/where the problem is?

Thanks

Dan

That is a known problem. The workaround is to use: visibility="hidden".

The workaround is known to work with constructs such as:
<g visibility="hidden" ... </g>

and

some text

I don't know if the "switch" element will accept it or not.
