I was not suggesting that the edit be removed. I was hoping that it be more useful. I did not get a response as to why a message is sent out via email before you have a chance to make sure that the message is correct and readable. I use a browser to review the messages because it is easier to see the whole track of the conversation. But I do subscribe to get email alerts, this is how I know when there has been a response so I can come back to that particular thread. Sometimes I read the email but most times I just click on the link to go back to the original thread in the browser. This can be the easiest way to find a thread. Some forums are so active that a thread you posted even a day ago can be pushed so far back in the queue, that you can't find it if you just went through the forum interface. The biggest problem I have with the edit issue is with scripting: not little misspellings or grammar but when asking or answering a script related issue. It sometimes takes a couple of tries before I can get the script to format in a way that is readable. I would hope that no one had to deal with my spaz behavior before I got it cleaned up.
