Alma, I sometimes encounter crashes when working with conditional text. Once the crash happens, the file will open but continue to crash. My workaround is to open the file, open a BLANK copy of my template file, switch to the corrupted file, open the structure view, select the root element, and COPY it. Then switch to the blank template file, PASTE, and save the file with a new name. This seems to remove whatever corruption is the file that makes it crash. Once you determine that the new file is OK, you can rename it to match the old file. No guarantee that this will work for you, but it works for me. Good luck, Van
