I haven't worked in FrameMaker for awhile, so I forgot about the whole problem with PNGs, but when I last worked in FrameMaker, removing any offending PNG files took care of the problem.

I've been working for several weeks converting a series of Microsoft Word documents to Frame. My documents were fine until, apparently, I converted some with screen shots. None of the screen shots were knowingly PNGs, in fact, I usually make JPGs, but some were taken before I started working here. Now have so many extra color definitions that I can't see the colors I've created manually because the menu won't go down that far. That would be okay if I could delete the colors from the Color Definitions box, but that doesn't work. So, even if I re-create a color I already have, I can't select it from any of the color palettes, nor can I delete all the colors that are in my way. The kicker is that I don't have any colored screen shots in the document I'm working in now, and when I go back to some of the older documents that didn't have any either, they show the expanded list of colors that I can't delete.

Anyone know what to do now? Do I need to create a whole new template from scratch? I've tried NOT importing colors when I import formats, but that doesn't seem to work either. In fact, the only documents that don't have the extraneous color definitions in them now are blank documents that I open using no template.
