I'm APALLED that I spent this much money for FrameMaker 8, and Adobe saw no reason to publish systematic training for it (i.e., Classroom in a Book, Visual Quickstart), nor to warn poor saps that they were buying a package that would leave them to figure it out on their own. SHAME on Adobe. Telling customers to go to FrameMaker 7 is an insult; if the training materials for Frame 7 work for Frame 8, then the differences between the two are obviously insignificant, making Frame 8 a practical excrescence. If you have to buy Frame 7 training materials, then you're better off buying Frame 7 - period.

I BADLY need some training info for Frame 8. I didn't purchase the thing to have to scour forums all over the net to learn how to use it. If anyone has suggestions other than buying a Frame 7 book, then please let me know.

This experience has soured me on Adobe products. In the future, I'll look somewhere else for DTP software. As long as the copier can convert the docs to PDFs (ours does), it'll be fine.
