Hello again, Ok, seems to more or less work as I had hoped, but for one thing. On the right pages, I would like the side head numbering to left justify; on the left pages, I'd like it to right justify. In other words, so the side heads "hug" the main text frame. Is there a way to do that? Thanks again, K
