First, no problems with 8 TOCs at all. And, rather than expecting a converted book to work out of the box, it would be better to delete the "converted" TOC file from the book and add an FM 8 TOC file, so it can be generated cleanly. Further, I'd make sure that all the component files are open on the desktop when you update, so that if there are any error messages, you can see what's going on. Art
