Adding an empty line to a generated file?

We need to add an empty line at the bottom of our LOTs and LOFs. Is it possible to do this with a template?

If we can avoid it, we'd rather not have to have the writers remember to open each file every time they generate a book and add a line.

Thanks for any help!
