Frame shows you the preview, not the actual vector content. Print to a Postscript printer or make a PDF if you want to get a better look. Don't worry about what it looks like on your monitor. Who told you Illustrator won't save down? From CS3, File > Save As > Version. Older versions of Illustrator put this functionality in File > Export > Legacy file (or something like that). Of course, you will get mixed results opening EPS files in Illustrator. Some open, some don't, some open poorly. I've saved Illustrator EPS files and then not been able to open them. I always advise people to save in AI, when finished with the drawing, save as to EPS. -- Kenneth Benson Pegasus Type, Inc. www.pegtype.com
