Philip,

FrameScript is an object-oriented scripting language that lets you get
at almost everything that's available in the FDK (the programming
interface).

It has all of the programming constructs that you'd expect for
building complex scripts. In the case of your requirement, you would
have to write a script that walks through a document checking the
number of lines in a paragraph and then applying the keep property
accordingly (realizing of course that simply applying the property
creates an override, which could be a maintenance issue).

For more info on creating FrameScripts, Rick Quatro's site at
http://www.frameexpert.com is a great resource. Also, his tutorial
book is an absolute must have if you want to start scripting.

There's also a FrameScript user group at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/framescript-users/ where you can
ask questions and learn by perusing the archives.

All of your other needs could also be addressed, however, it may be a
complex programming task for some of them. There are a number of
scripts available from various sources that can be used as starting
points for developing your own scripts. Google is your friend... ;-)
