Karen, If you are setting things up as Joel guesses, you can use Shlomo Perets' TimeSavers (www.microtype.com) to solve your problem. You could make bookmarks of both the chapter autonumber paragraph and the chapter title paragraph and use the TimeSavers MergeBookmarks tool to combine the two bookmarks into one. Or, you could simplify things (remembering that I don't know your layout at all) and put the autonumbering in the same paragraph as the title. Jeanie
