Followup to my install problem on WinXP. Called support and after confirming that it didn't work we booted in safe mode. That worked. Do not know what was interferring. Maybe some of the numerous programs and subtasks that are running when it is booted normally. Just thought I would let you know the solution to my problem. Except for the really long wait before a human picked up the line, the experience was okay. I haven't had to contact support for a few years.
