To all who have shared their knowledge with me, Thank you very much for your very helpful advice. I got rid of the missing fonts problem. Now I have a different problem which may be related. I keep getting an error in cross-referencing between the various chapters. I tried all the updating cross-references stuff in the adobe manual and it doesn't seem to get rid of the problem. Within a given chapter the cross-referencing is fine. Anyone know anything about this?

Susan
