Addition.

First: Tables should convert into Frame - if the are real Word tables. They all import as Fromat A, generally meaning some cleanup in Frame. If they however do import as graphic/objects check if they have been created initially in Excel and then pasted into Word (i.e OLE objects)

The points of spanning tables is important, but you don't have to convert into tab delimited text. But rather try to correct these inside Word (if you dare)

PDF could be an excellent option. If your tables are created in ANY other way than the correct one in Word try the PDF plugin from GEMINI (www.iceni.com): They have an excellent RTF export that amongst others converts graphical elements that are table-look-alikes into real tables that can be imported into Word/Frame

The final cleanup of tables (e.g.g batch conversion of toprows into header rows, etc) can be done with Table Cleaner from www.frameexpert.com. Excellent Plug-in!!!!!

Keep smiling Thomas
