THOMAS: I have found that a problem in 10 only once -- and I use it all the time. The one time happens to be with a particular graphic that's a 7-inch wide bar with a gradient. Turns out that whenever the doc first opens it's gray, but then I view the reference page on which it appears (it's in a frame I use for a bar below a heading), it pops into view, then when I switch back to the body pages, it's there! That same silly bar has been doing that since I first created it in Illustrator 9 a couple of years ago, and I've save it in 9 and 10 in Windows and Mac, and it continues to do this. But anyway, all my other Illustrator 10 files work just fine, regardless of color or B&W preview, thumbnail, or transparency setting.

JAMIE: This is my experience with EPS in general, but I can't remember the last time I used a pattern fill.
