I just put the extra markers in manually. If I happen to add a previous table footnote that changes the numbering, I update the multiple references manually, like you do. I don't think there is any way in FrameMaker 6.0 to do what you want, although I agree that it would be desireable. Maybe we'll see it in FrameMaker 7.0. In the meantime, there may be a way to use hypertext markers and/or variables to do what you want. I haven't fully puzzled this out, so I'm not sure.
