Okay, I got it to work. I'm exporting from Freehand as an EPS with TIFF preview, which imports into FM but looks lousy on screen. In order to print with good quality, I'm "printing to file" as a .ps in Distiller, then distilling to a PDF. Thanks for all your help. Eugene
