Or put your cursor in any cell in the top row and "click and drag" downard (i.e., hold the mouse button down, drag downward) into the next rows. If it's a heading row, the whole column will be selected by just dragging into the second row/cell. If it's not a heading cell, you'll be able to drag-select vertically cell-by-cell.
