Though FM can deal with CDR files up to v.7, I wouldn't recommend it.
The filters are simply not that good. Further, the input file size
should never be a criteria if you are importing by reference (the
recommended procedure). If you import by copy (i.e. embed and the
format is converted to either FrameVector or FrameImage) the graphics
into your FM document, then they could be substantially larger that
what you started out with.

I always use EPS from Corel Draw (I've processed thousands) and it
works very well.
