Hi Art,

You sort of hit it on the head. I don't know exactly what the process was to fix it. I couldn't open the files in 7.2 once I'd opened them in 8. So, I created a blank FM in 7.2 and incorporated every element of the Wicked Evil Header from the template. Added some text, user variables, and then system variables. Viewed it in 7.2 and it was fine.

Opened it in 8 and it was fine.

Imported the styles into my template and it died.

Our (tech docs team) theory is that something corroded when we brought the template from 7.2 to 8.0. We've gotten several MIF issues lately for other reasons. I'm not sure how it's connected but it seems to be.

Hrm, I didn't try building one in 8 and then importing the styles.

So it looks like the fix is to recreate the whole template in a fresh file. I don't know why. I wonder if I will have to go back and do it in 7.2 and import it.
