I realize it's not that important, but since I do a lot of documents, it's nice to just briefly look at the LOT and see how many pages there are in the tables in the documents.

Hi,
I know this post is from a long time ago, but it's worth noting that the Table Sheet variable is a table variable that can only be inserted in a table header, footer or title.

I found this post today while troubleshooting why I was getting "(Sheet ? of ?)". The first thing I thought to do was to copy the reference pages from a document where the variable was populating. It turns out I had copied the variable from a header row in one table into a regular row in another table. Once I created a header row and inserted the variable there, it populated correctly.

The building blocks for the Table Sheet variable are not controlled on the reference pages. I think if you place those building blocks anywhere else besides a table header, footer or title, you will get "?". It's just a limitation of the application. Interesting question, though.
