I have a question concerning the imported graphic. Supposed that there is an imported graphic in one of my FM files. It is held by an anchored frame. The problem occurs when I need to replace the imported graphic with another graphic. If the anchored frame cannot hold the graphic, some parts are hidden. I know one of the ways is to adjust the width and height of the anchored frame. However, I do not want to do that. What I need is to do nothing to the anchored frame but at the same time keep the graphic impact. I found that it got distorted when I scale it. Is there a workaround? Thanks.

Assumption: I'm assuming that you have to leave the frame untouched for layout reasons First option: select a corner of the new graphic, then hold down shift and drag to resize without changing the proportions Second, and better, option: edit the new graphic in a graphics-editing application to get the size you want with the best available quality, then import it Hope this helps!

InDesign can do what you want. It has native transparency, and you have have separate transparency and effect setting for the text, the text frame, the stroke around the text frame...and so on.
