I have a question about .fdf, which has languished unanswered in the Acrobat forum for some time, and the firm conviction that people in the FrameMaker forum know between them everything about everything ... If one of you can perhaps help with my question, drop me a line? Thanks in advance!

If you Google on "Form Data Format," all kinds of information seems to be available. Have you tried that?

This one? <http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b710c0> Does your text editor have the ability to save files using different encodings? Saving the file as Unix/Linux/Mac format (instead of saving as the Windows CR + LF) would strip the CRs, I think. Could you beam me a sample .fdf file?

I am consistently grateful for the quality of intelligent help available in this forum, and am often struck by the high level of technical know-how of its members. You people are such amazing techies and FM gurus that I sometimes forget you are also _writers_. This morning when I read your midnight-ish posting, its imagery surprised and transported me. I could feel the salt spray, I could see your long, curving smile and canny eye. Now I'm turning back to my own deadline with a much lighter heart. Thank you. Gay Alson

Why, thank-you! I'm delighted the highly-compressed image cheered someone up, and encouraged by your taking the trouble to reply. Onward!
